With over 10 years of professional experience, Monica has dedicated her career to advancing climate action, sustainability, youth leadership, resilience-building, and community development across Africa. She provides strategic leadership for Banyani's programs, partnerships, resource mobilization, and organizational growth — playing a key role in shaping the vision of empowering young people, women, and communities to lead climate action. Under her leadership, Banyani grew from a volunteer initiative into a pan-African organization with country representatives in Nigeria, Kenya, and Egypt.

Foster plays a central role in the design, coordination, and implementation of Banyani's programs and initiatives. He leads planning and execution of climate education, leadership development, resilience-building, and community engagement programs, and contributes to curriculum development, monitoring and learning processes, and strategic partnerships. His commitment to youth empowerment, sustainability, and education has been instrumental in shaping Banyani's flagship initiatives and expanding opportunities across Africa.

How Banyani Began
Banyani was established to respond to the growing climate and environmental challenges facing African communities while creating opportunities for young people and women to become leaders of sustainable change.

Over four years, the organization has implemented climate education programs, leadership academies, environmental restoration projects, fellowships, resilience-building initiatives, and community engagement activities that have strengthened climate action across multiple countries.

The organization's growth has been driven largely by volunteer commitment, partnerships, and a shared vision of building a more resilient and sustainable Africa.
